About the Artist
Victor Harley was a missionary, an overland tour guide, a researcher and a biodiversity and conservation lecturer.
He now is an environmental consultant, a writer, an illustrator, a knife maker and a fine artist.
Other than scientific publications relating to wildlife management and monitoring, he has published a book on his life as a manic depressive.
As an artist he works with diverse media, from pencil to oils, from buro to acrylics, from ceramics to needlepoint from old books to steel.
He has had numerous group and solo exhibitions in South Africa and his work is on display in many private collections both locally and overseas.
